Bob's BBQ Bitter |
A bitter with an OG of 1.038 brewed for drinking
rather than sipping. First brewed for an impending BBQ it was
ready for drinking in 10 days having been fined with gelatine at racking
to the keg. A malty beer with a fairly subdued hop character, this
is a very drinkable beer. Dry but still malty. Probably
worth dry hopping for a little more aroma. |

Phil's Hefe #2
|
A pretty good Hefeweizen. Ferments in a week and is
ready for drinking as soon as it's chilled and carbonated. Normally bottled, this beer
is given it's flavour by the yeast that is put into the beer by swirling
the bottle. If, like me, you keg your beers you should shake the
keg whenever the yeast starts to settle. Strange but it makes all
the difference. |

Phil's Christmas
Ale |
A strong, full-bodied beer brewed for Christmas but not
flavoured with fruit or spices. |
|
Phil's IPA
|
A strong, light coloured, bitter ale.
Not as strong as IPA's of yesteryear but strong enough, at about 6%. |
|
Phil's
Robust Porter
|
Very dark porter with a roasted flavour from the
chocolate malt. Age this one for a couple of months and it'll be
really smoooooth..... |
|
Baggage Smasher! |
A Brown Porter with a slight roasty flavour and
light hop aroma. A very drinkable beer. |
|
TTLNF |
A light but very hoppy bitter. I wanted to
brew a Timothy Taylor Landlord type beer but didn't have any Fuggles.
I ended up brewing a beer with just pale malt and plenty of Goldings.
I think it turned out well. |

Rainy_Day_Bitter |
A drinking bitter of OG 1.048. Very tasty
indeed!!! |
|
Hop Juice IPA |
A very hoppy IPA at 1.070.
If you don't brew any other of my recipes give
this one a go. It's wonderful!!!! |
|
Longdog Pils |
This is a Bohemian Pils style lager with an OG of 1.055.
It's a full bodied lager with a spicy hop flavour from the Saaz hops.
Far too easy to drink! Went down very well at Durden Park Beer
Circle in August 2007. |
