CAMRA launched a campaign last year to abolish excise duty on beers of 2.8% ABV or below, the "People's Pint". While I don't know how the capaign is doing or whether it's even on the CAMRA agenda this year, it is an interesting idea. Beer of 2.8% or less. Can a beer be brewed at such a low strength and still have body and flavour? The North Hampshire Brewers are going to find out. The 27th of July is club night and the theme is the "People's Pint". It's just a bit of fun really so I've decided to make a Stout. I brewed in on the 15th of July so it's not going to have much time to mature but it should be OK.
